How my journey started

21 years ago, at 16, I was sitting in a classroom at West Notts College. I studied NVQ levels 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy. In these 2 years, I tried to absorb as much information as possible from tutors, colleagues, and classmates so I could be the best version of myself. My work placement took place at Mr. John Salon in Sutton-in-Ashfield where I spent my time watching, learning, and understanding how a hair and beauty salon was run daily. In 2007, I moved to Northern Ireland for 2 years. I conducted beauty treatments on wives and girlfriends of soldiers on camp to gain experience. In 2009, I moved to Germany, and I tried to continue my professional development while in the country, which was quite difficult due to the language barrier.

In 2013, I moved back to the UK, in Kent. During my 3 years in Kent, I studied at Kent Beauty College and the courses I studied were:
Level 4 - Preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
    Threading
    Head massage
    Spray tanning

The Spark

In 2020, during COVID lockdowns, my daughter and I were painting funny faces on each other and recording TikTok videos to pass the time. This playful behaviour brought happiness and allowed me to understand why I enjoy face painting so much. Since then, the journey has been unbelievable.
